Guillermo del Toro began developing the film adaptation of Mary Shelley's famous novel "Frankenstein; or, The Modern Prometheus" in the late 2000s. Since then, he has completed several other successful projects and changed the studio responsible for production. Following its debut at the Venice Film Festival, the film was released on Netflix.

How to Train Your Dragon is a live-action reimagining of the 2010 animated film of the same name, based on the novel by Cressida Cowell. Directed by Dean DeBlois, who co-created the original trilogy, this project marks his first attempt at realizing his ideas in a live-action film. Filming for the sequel has already begun, and its premiere is scheduled for summer 2027.

Together with his 12-year-old daughter, the hero embarks on an amazing journey filled with secrets and miracles, aiming to protect those forgotten by humanity. Ivan Sosnin, a director renowned for creating touching and heartfelt stories in Russian cinema, continues this tradition in his new project, which is no exception. His film, like his previously released works, such as the sci-fi drama "Alien" and the series "Yug," focuses on the importance of family relationships. At the center of the plot is a story full of warmth and simplicity. The main character, journalist Anton, was played by Alexander Yatsenko, already familiar to viewers from his previous collaboration with Sosnin in "The South."

The epic fantasy film continues the plot of the successful 2023 blockbuster and draws on the classic Ming-era work "Rise to the Ranks of Spirits." "Creation of the Gods" was originally planned as a trilogy, with all three films filmed back-to-back. The third part is expected in early 2027.

Young Yuriah discovers a lost baby ochi—unusual and mysterious creatures that live in dense forests and inspire fear in the local islanders. Despite all the superstitions and prejudices, the girl feels no fear and decides to help this animal return it to its home. Together, they must face the many dangers lurking in the depths of the forest.

The film, released by A24, marks director Isaiah Saxon's first feature-length film. The creature's image was realized using animatronics—a complex mechanical structure controlled by a group of puppeteers, which made it possible to achieve greater naturalness in the character's movements.

Together, they must battle the "gray gentlemen" and restore joy and meaning to people's lives.

"Momo" is an adaptation of the children's fantasy novel by German author Michael Ende, known in particular for his work "The NeverEnding Story." The film premiered worldwide in October 2025. The film was originally scheduled for release in Russia in December 2025, but the release date was changed and it will now be released on February 26, 2026.

The plot of this story draws inspiration from the story of the same name by George R.R. Martin, created long before the appearance of his famous series "A Song of Ice and Fire". The director's post is taken by Paul W. S. Anderson, who is famous for his work on the Resident Evil franchise, where Milla Jovovich also played the leading role.

Alexander Petrov played the central role, although he rarely gets the opportunity to portray fairy-tale characters. The production is produced by STV Film Company, which is known not only for its dark films directed by Alexei Balabanov, but also for successful fairy tale films such as By the Pike's Command, Tinderbox, and The Little Humpbacked Horse.

Deathstalker

To escape his fate, he must find the Dreadite leader and prevent his emergence.

"Deathstalker" is a reimagining of the independent fantasy action film that first hit theaters in 1983. The original took just 37 days to make and was inspired by the success of "Conan the Barbarian." Over time, that film became the basis for a vast franchise that has won the hearts of many genre fans. The remake was directed by Canadian director Steven Kostanski, himself a fan of the original, and was crowdfunded. The film stars Swiss martial artist and seasoned action actor Daniel Bernhard.
