From Frontend to Backend and Management
After completing my studies, I spent almost three years working at the Tomsk startup Supl.biz. This company connects wholesale suppliers with small and medium-sized businesses. I started my career as a full-stack developer. JavaScript is my favorite programming language, but I dislike front-end development. I understand that over time you can get used to any technology, but I never managed to fall in love with front-end development. My true passion is back-end development, and this area attracts me much more than front-end work.
Over time, I shifted from frontend to infrastructure and DevOps, and then took on team management. As a "jack-of-all-trades" team lead, I quickly experienced burnout, as it's impossible to work in that mode for long. However, this experience allowed me to develop in several areas and significantly improve my skills. I broadened my technical horizons and deepened my understanding of business processes, which was an important step in my career.
After leaving the startup, I moved to Moscow and started working at CIAN. As part of my work, I worked on a website search optimization project, which I implemented with my partner. I am currently on hiatus to take a break and consider my next steps. In a couple of months, I plan to actively look for a new job in the field of IT and web development.

I use IDE RuCharm For writing code, Django is my favorite tool, and so far I haven't found anything more convenient. I also have experience working with relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MS SQL, as well as NoSQL solutions such as Cassandra. In addition, on every project, I encounter the Elasticsearch search engine, which has become an integral part of my work.

I started learning development back in university when I found several small Django projects with a moderate salary. I recommend starting a career in backend development with Django, as it is simple, has a low entry barrier, and has excellent documentation. For a start, you can create, for example, a website for your pet, which will help consolidate your knowledge and develop programming skills. Django is ideal for beginner developers, allowing you to quickly implement ideas and projects, making it an excellent choice for starting out in web development.
To confidently enter the profession, you need to actively practice while simultaneously studying theory through books and other sources.
