Invitation to participate in the Garage Digital Lab: open call
The Garage Museum is launching a new research initiative focused on artists and theorists studying algorithmic systems and digital spaces. This program includes a three-month series of online meetings with Russian and international experts. Following the lab's completion, the museum will consider funding for artistic and research projects that arise during the course. To participate, please submit an application including a project description and a resume or portfolio.

Open call for cultural organizations: opportunities of the Ad Marginem library
Ad Marginem Publishing House has announced an open competition for cultural and urban organizations that foster community building in their communities. Winners will receive a gift library of 100 books from Ad Marginem and A+A Publishing Houses, allowing them to enrich the collections of their spaces. Independent cultural institutions, artist-led projects, as well as cafes, bars, private libraries, and other initiatives are eligible to participate. Applications are accepted via a Google form, where you must describe your project in detail. Ten winners will be selected as a result of the competition.

Invitation to participate in the samizdat art laboratory
The Zotov Center is organizing a lab for artists, illustrators, and researchers seeking a deeper understanding of the legacy of the Russian avant-garde. Participants will be able to choose one work and develop a collaborative zine or artist book based on it. The program includes a series of four to five meetings with a curator, scheduled for November 2025. Participation in the lab is free, but a selection process is required.

The Garage Museum announces a competition for researchers studying contemporary art and culture. Participants are invited to submit unique works on the history and theory of 20th-21st century art, the sociology of culture, architectural movements, cinema, and other related fields. The authors of the best manuscripts will be rewarded with a fee, and their works will find their place in the museum's publishing series.

Launch of an open competition for the Cultural Map project
The Library and Art Residency "Shkaf" is launching a new project, which will include a series of exhibitions aimed at mapping Russia's cultural landscapes. For the first stage of the exhibition, artists either residing in or originating from cities with a population of over one million people are invited. Participants are expected to submit finished works in a variety of formats: painting, graphics, photography, video, installations, and textiles. The first exhibition will be held in St. Petersburg.
