It is important to understand that time is not just numbers on a dial, but a deeper and more multifaceted phenomenon that influences our lives.

This is an iconic sign representing a clock: a round dial with two hands, a large and a small one. The depicted clock shows a specific time – ten hours and ten minutes. However, we do not attach any significance to this, since this time is not distinguished by anything special, and the hands, shaped like a bird, are easy to draw. This clock symbol can be used in various contexts, for example, in interface design or graphics, drawing attention to the concept of time.

Watch sellers often use 10:10 in advertising photographs, as it creates an attractive visual effect. In this position of the hands, the brand logo is located at the top of the dial, which makes it more noticeable and aesthetically pleasing. This not only emphasizes the design of the watch but also contributes to a better perception of the brand by potential buyers. Thus, the choice of 10:10 is a strategic decision in watch marketing aimed at increasing interest in the product.

The medieval practice of placing a clock on the façade of the town hall in the central square of the city emphasizes that the ruler of this settlement controls not only space, but also time. In this context, the clock becomes a symbol of power and its influence on the lives of citizens. Moreover, the visualization of the clock face raises certain questions for the attentive observer: it always displays a specific time. Thus, despite their functionality, they are limited in their ability to convey a deep understanding of time itself.

The clock face, as a symbol of time display, faces a certain problem: smartphone users increasingly prefer to see time in digital format. This leads to the clock face gradually losing its relevance and becoming obsolete.

The hourglass is one of the oldest symbols of time. It evokes associations with various fairy tales, where the moment the next grain of sand falls foreshadows a dramatic conclusion. Hourglasses display a specific moment in a small time interval. With their help, one can clearly illustrate the beginning of processes when all the sand is at the top of the flask, and the end when almost all the sand has already fallen to the bottom. These devices are ideal for demonstrating the flow of time and its limitations.

The falling grains of sand symbolize the passage of time. In reality, time is immaterial and immovable, but we tend to imagine it that way. We live, and time passes, as if we were sitting on the bank of a river, watching its waters flow. This image helps us better understand how time is perceived in our lives.

However, time is not linear, and this visualization is purely conceptual, intended to be easy to understand. The nonlinearity and complexity of time can be emphasized by breaking the word apart: VR-E——m-ya. Sometimes time flies like an arrow, a swift, or a peregrine falcon, reflecting its inexorable movement and transience. It is important to be aware of how we use this precious time, because it does not stand still.

Perhaps we perceive time as cyclical because of the rhythmic beating of the human heart, like a metronome. As long as the heart continues to beat, we continue to live, and it may seem as if time itself does not exist. This rhythm of life creates a sense of permanence and predictability, forcing us to reflect on the nature of time and its true essence.

Static images poorly convey the dynamic nature of time, unlike animated elements, which can more accurately reflect its essence. For example, a flashing colon on a digital clock or a moving second hand, devoid of a dial, emphasize the continuous passage of time. Sound symbols of time, such as the striking of a clock or the ticking of a second hand, play a significant role in our perception of time. When a clock strikes 12:00, it is associated with the beginning of a New Year, evoking images of chimes and joyful celebrations. The sounds of time not only signal its passage but also create an atmosphere of anticipation and celebration, emphasizing the significance of each moment.

A small period of time can be visualized as a sector on the dial of a watch. This sector symbolizes a specific part of time, allowing us to visualize its clarity and limitations. This approach helps us better understand how time is divided into segments and how each of them has its own significance in the overall picture.

“It's time to act!” or “Time is running out!” is a gesture in which the index finger taps the outside of the wrist, symbolizing the need to make a decision or take action. This gesture is often used in situations where urgent intervention is required or when it is necessary to remind ourselves of the importance of time.

In physics, time is denoted by the Latin letter t, but it is also used to denote temperature. Thus, t is an ambiguous symbol, which can cause confusion. This emphasizes the importance of context when using physical notations.

Currently, time as a philosophical category does not have a generally accepted symbol. This creates difficulties in its perception and interpretation.
