Learn moreIn the "Like and Share" section, we share interesting accounts that inspire our audience. Today, we'd like to highlight the public page "Palace of Word Combinations," created by Moscow-based illustrator Tim Yarzhombek. In this account, he offers absurd phrases that are harmoniously combined with humorous illustrations. Each of Tim's works evokes a smile and makes you think about language and its possibilities. If you're looking for original content that lifts your spirits and develops creative thinking, this public page is definitely worth a visit.
Speech puns have always been a part of Yarzhombek's life. In his family, the phrase "dig flour" was used to mean "wash your hands." As a teenager, he was particularly drawn to IKEA advertising with its witty slogans, and he even dreamed of becoming a copywriter for the company. This interest in wordplay and creative thinking became an important milestone in his life and inspired a subsequent career in advertising and content marketing.

Memes are another source of inspiration for illustrators. Trendy memes on social networks are becoming relevant cultural phenomena that reflect public sentiment and humor. Illustrators use memes as a basis for their work, creating unique visual interpretations of popular jokes and situations. This approach not only attracts audience attention but also makes the works more relatable, familiar, and understandable to viewers. The interaction between memes and illustrations fosters the emergence of new artistic styles and trends, and shapes a modern visual language. Thus, memes are becoming an important element in the arsenal of modern illustrators, allowing them to find new ways of self-expression.
Previously, creating memes was the preserve of cartoonists. Today, anyone can create a meme, although its aesthetics don't always meet expectations. I developed a unique stylistic system based on popular prints and children's drawings often found in the margins of notebooks. My goal was to create each image in five minutes, allowing for rapid content generation without sacrificing creativity.

When Tim began his career as an illustrator, he created a series of works independent of commercial commissions. Wordplay became an inexhaustible source of inspiration for him. The first illustration features several black-and-white cats with spots on their faces, accompanied by the caption "Group of Kitties." This work reflects Tim's unique style and his ability to combine humor with artistic expression.

Tim notes: "It's nice to find a jpg that's already in common use."
