Moscow is more than just traffic jams, Stalinist Empire-style buildings, and modern skyscrapers. This city can be compared to a vast canvas on which masters of art create their works: from large-scale murals to graffiti hidden in the secluded streets of the quiet center.

Every courtyard, abandoned business, or hidden place has its own unique visual language. Wandering through such locations, you can perceive Moscow in a new way - here it sounds brighter than any tourist guides.

We have collected the key places in the city where street art manifests itself, fills with energy, sometimes disappears and again takes on a new form.

Gamma Art Cluster

Skakova Street, Building 9. Near the Belorusskaya metro station.

Once a hotel, built in 1976, today it has become a multi-level labyrinth covered in graffiti. Currently, in the fall of 2025, active renovation work is underway here, but access remains open to everyone. New artwork appears on each level: paint fills elevator shafts and ventilation ducts, and there isn't a single guard in sight.

Transformation of the territory of the former Khlebozavod No. 9 into a public space

Novodmitrovskaya Street, Building 1. This location is near the Dmitrovskaya metro station.

On the wall of one of the buildings, you can see a portrait of Mayakovsky, created by the renowned Portuguese artist Vhils. Instead of traditional brushes and spray paints, he used a jackhammer to "beat out" the image. In 2025, a quote from the poet appeared on one of the terracotta walls of this space, visible only on a sunny day. Steel structures cast letter-shaped shadows, leaving a vivid imprint on the hearts of passers-by.

«Flacon»

Bolshaya Novodmitrovskaya Street, Building 36. Dmitrovskaya metro station is located nearby.

Moscow is home to one of the most impressive creative clusters, where graffiti is constantly updated and appears at various festivals. Works on display range from a depiction of Batman v Superman to a 3D installation by artist Tweso about the pandemic. The main element that remains unchanged is the trolleybus, built into the wall and regularly changing its “outfits.”

Sports facility: Basketball court in Kozikhinsky

📍 Maly Kozikhinsky Lane, located between buildings 9 and 11. In close proximity to the Mayakovskaya metro station.

Ghetto aesthetics in the very center of Patriarch's Ponds: a red brick wall rising five stories and located directly behind the football field. Even in winter, when there are snowdrifts all around, this playground resembles a scene from a movie about semi-criminal New York.

Bersenevsky Lane, Building 6

Factories and plants are now coming to life thanks to street art: on their walls you can see "Pushkin's Tales" interpreted by Vova Nootk, romantic pop art by 310 Squad, as well as a portrait of Mayakovsky created by SO2ART, along with many other fascinating stories.

«Winzavod»

Syromyatnichesky lane, house 1, Building 6. The Kurskaya metro station is located nearby.

Previously, this location housed the famous "Wall" of the Artmossphere project, where contemporary artists such as Timofey Radya, Misha Most, Zmogk, and many others showcased their talents. Although this site is now closed, its atmosphere still lives on: in the decorated skateboard hangar and new works that can be found in secluded corners of the area.

📍Nizhnyaya Syromyatnicheskaya Street, Building 10. Kurskaya metro station area.

The tunnels located under the railway tracks on the way to the cluster have long been transformed into an independent gallery, and numerous art objects can be found in the area itself. In 2020, a carpet depicting silhouettes of famous Moscow landmarks was installed here. Its dimensions are 10 by 10 meters, and now it serves as a kind of red carpet into the world of art.

GRPHT Open Gallery: Art on fresh air

Elektrodnaya Street, Building 2, Building 32. Located near the Shosse Entuziastov metro station.

A new creative cluster called "Graphite" is being created on the site of a former electrode factory near the Shosse Entuziastov metro station. The country's largest street art gallery is already operating in this space. Works such as the mural "Vincent" by ZUKCLUB and "Russian Sims" by Slava PTRK, among many others, can be seen here. Thus, this place becomes a platform where street art finds its recognition and institutional status.
