In this collection, we present unique projects where pop culture elements serve as the basis for creative design. You will see car interiors inspired by the popular pop-it toy, as well as interesting concepts such as step gigs, party dogs, and meditating animals. These ideas reflect modern trends and create unusual visual solutions that attract attention and inspire new achievements in design.

Das Pop! — the future of automotive design

Daria Protsenko, interior designer for Volkswagen cars, presents a vision of the future in which the pop-it turns into an iconic design element. Her concepts for a driverless sports car feature a lounge area designed with a focus on tranquility and relaxation, creating a unique atmosphere for drivers and passengers. The combination of modern technology and aesthetics makes the car's interior not only functional but also cozy, highlighting new trends in automotive design. Daria uses a calming blue color and soft artificial lighting to create a futuristic atmosphere in the interior. Rounded furniture shapes, reminiscent of pop-it bubbles, add a playful and modern touch. Light panels and a minimalist approach accentuate the brightness and originality of the space, emphasizing the harmony between style and comfort. This interior not only attracts attention but also contributes to the creation of a cozy and relaxing environment. The pop-it concept, reminiscent of Lego, is a fascinating element in which various objects are "mounted" on bubbles, like construction set pieces. This idea is inspired by Korobeynikov's Soviet book "How to Build a TV," which gives the project a unique and original character. Interesting combinations of shapes and textures make the pop-it a multifunctional tool for creativity and learning.

Attentive viewers will notice an interesting Easter egg: in the title GIF, the books on the shelf change, among which are the names of famous writers such as Sorokin, Gaidar, Kip Thorne, and Umberto Eco. This element adds intrigue and depth to the project, making it more appealing to the audience.

Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Exhibition in South Korea

The summer months of 2023 became an important event for the world of art: the Versi Art Museum in South Korea hosted an exhibition of the Hungarian artist Keith Miklós, renowned for his bright and expressive works. This was the second solo exhibition in the country after his successful participation in the Gwangju Biennale in 2019. Miklós's works attract the attention of viewers with their originality and emotional intensity, which makes his work a significant phenomenon in contemporary art.

The exhibition "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" features works from various series, such as "Emograms", "Happy & Easy", and "Game". The museum halls are filled with vibrant paintings and sculptures that explore pop culture themes, including emojis, Mickey Mouse gloves, and game consoles. The exhibition offers a unique perspective on contemporary trends and cultural symbols, creating a dialogue between art and popular culture.

The aesthetic of Miklós's works harmoniously combines elements of Lichtenstein-style comics and evokes associations with the works of such renowned artists as Takashi Murakami and Jeff Koons. Particularly noteworthy are his installations featuring large branded bags, which question the generally accepted standards of the fashion industry. These works not only attract attention but also encourage viewers to rethink their approach to consumption and branding in contemporary art. Miklos rejects traditional geometric forms in his paintings, opting instead for cut extruded polystyrene foam. He coats this material with multiple layers of acrylic paint, creating textured, wavy surfaces in his works. This approach gives his works uniqueness and originality, allowing viewers to perceive artistic forms and textures in a new way.

Gigs Platform for Freelancers

Gigs is a cutting-edge platform in the launch phase that offers freelancers a trusted space to collaborate, share experiences, and find relevant vacancies. The visual style for Gigs was created by the highly skilled team at Embacy. The platform aims to simplify the job search and networking processes between freelancers, making it the ideal tool for professionals in various fields. Gigs provides a safe environment where users can not only discover new opportunities but also share knowledge and resources, fostering the growth of the freelance community.

A key design element is the original characters, depicted as black-and-white people. They not only look at the user but also actively participate in the visual narrative, rolling across the letters and dancing. These characters were created using large strokes, allowing them to harmoniously combine with the thick Manuka Bold font. To create depth, the illustrators used marker-like brushes, which help separate the people from the smooth surfaces of the letters. This approach makes the design more appealing and memorable, enhancing user engagement.

The Gigs brand stands out thanks to its uniqueness thanks to its vibrant color palette, which includes contrasting combinations of black, cream, green, and cornflower blue. This color scheme not only attracts attention but also creates a harmonious perception, making Gigs products memorable and appealing to consumers. Each color in this palette was chosen for its psychological impact and aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the brand's individuality and commitment to originality.

Our mission is to demonstrate that love for pets can be expressed not only sentimentally but also with humor and fun. The name ChewChoo! mimics the sound of a steam train, giving the brand a playful character and making it easily recognizable. We strive to create a positive perception of animal care by offering not only high-quality products but also an original approach to their design.

Argentinian design studio DHNN created a series of illustrations dedicated to the joyful life of dogs. In these vibrant images, dogs surf, sunbathe on the beach, and explore space, emphasizing their carefree existence. The absence of people in the pictures puts the focus on the pets, allowing viewers to focus on their joyful adventures. These illustrations are not only pleasing to the eye but also demonstrate the diversity of dogs' lives, their playfulness, and freedom.

The playful Champ font was chosen for the DHNN logo and headlines, highlighting the brand's creativity. The main text is set in the clean Helvetica Now font, ensuring legibility and professionalism. The color palette consists of ten vibrant shades that reflect an active and vibrant lifestyle. Wombat: Relaxation App

We conclude our review of inspiring projects with the Wombat app. This app offers users unique breathing practices and meditations that help them relax and improve their mental and emotional well-being. Using Wombat promotes mindfulness and stress reduction, making it an ideal tool for those seeking harmony and inner peace. Through a variety of meditations and breathing techniques, the app helps users manage everyday worries and achieve a state of deep relaxation.

For this project, the designers created more than ten images of animals engaged in meditation and yoga. In their works, they used three calming shades: red, blue, and yellow. These colors contribute to an atmosphere of calm and harmony, making the images especially appealing to yoga and meditation enthusiasts. Each design element is carefully considered to highlight the animals' inner world and their connection with nature.

All visual elements are designed in a laconic, semi-geometric style, and the characters and background are reminiscent of the cute ducks from the educational channel Kurtzgesagt. This design approach creates a calming atmosphere conducive to information comprehension. The aesthetics and simplicity of the visuals help users focus on the content, making it more accessible and appealing.

The choice of color palette and shapes is an important aspect in creating an atmosphere of tranquility. This assertion is supported by research in color psychology, which shows how certain colors and shapes affect a person's emotional state. The right combination of shades and harmonious lines can significantly increase the level of comfort and tranquility in an interior or design.
