Any Picasso: Anniversary Events in 2023

2023 is a significant year for Spain, as the country celebrates two important dates: 50 years since the death of the eminent artist Pablo Picasso and 60 years since the opening of the Picasso Museum in Barcelona. In connection with these anniversaries, numerous cultural events were held in the Catalan capital, attracting the attention of art lovers from around the world. These events highlight the significance of Picasso's legacy and his influence on contemporary art, and also contribute to the development of cultural tourism in Spain.

Studio Quim Marin created an original design for outdoor advertising and an anniversary publication dedicated to the life and work of Picasso. This project is based on two photographs of the artist in his mature years, stylized using filters. This approach allowed for the creation of a harmonious color palette combining three color pairs: pink and green, blue and light brown, and red and blue. This design not only attracts attention but also conveys the uniqueness and depth of Picasso's artistic legacy.

The designers at Studio Quim Marin used square and rectangular shapes for several reasons. Firstly, it is a reference to Cubism, which was characteristic of Picasso's work. Secondly, the use of such forms allows the headings to be highlighted and enhances the expressiveness of the artist’s gaze, directed directly at the viewer. This approach helps create a unique visual identity for the project, highlighting its originality and artistic value.

Cultural Directorate in Barcelona: 30th Anniversary of the APGCC

Barcelona is once again attracting attention to its cultural life. The Association of Professionals in Cultural Management of Catalonia (APGCC) is celebrating its 30th anniversary, a significant milestone for the region's cultural management. Studio Bakoom has developed an original visual style that combines the rich history and current trends of theatrical art. This milestone underscores the importance of cultural management in shaping Barcelona's cultural landscape and its influence on contemporary art.

The new design draws inspiration from vintage tear-off tickets, adding a nostalgic feel to the project. Graphic elements with semicircular cuts and dotted lines create a dynamic perception of space, dividing it into vibrant and expressive sections. This approach not only creates a unique visual style but also evokes associations with the past, making the project particularly appealing to audiences.

The project's color palette, including vibrant scarlet and deep black, reflects the modernity and emotional intensity characteristic of theatrical productions. These colors not only symbolize passion and dynamism but also highlight the energy that APGCC brings to each of its initiatives. Using this color scheme creates an engaging visual palette that attracts attention and creates a memorable image of the project.

The use of a bold font, inspired by classical styles, establishes a dialogue between the past and the present. This decision highlights the 30-year history of the APGCC and connects it with centuries-old theatrical traditions, forming a bridge between different eras. The use of such a font not only highlights the individuality of the APGCC, but also emphasizes the importance of its legacy, which continues to influence contemporary art.

Cinemaissí Film Festival: Unique Design by Pol Solsona

In Northern Europe, Finland, Pol Solsona Studio has developed a unique visual style for the Cinemaissí Film Festival. The designers drew inspiration from the aesthetics of film posters, subtitles, and end credits, giving the project a special appeal for film buffs. This style not only reflects the rich culture of cinema but also creates an atmosphere that immerses viewers in the world of cinema. The aesthetic solutions used in the design emphasize the importance of visual perception in contemporary cinema, making Festival Cinemaissí a significant platform for the discussion and appreciation of film.

The caption elements in the festival design significantly improved the perception of the screening schedule. This solution effectively highlights the names of directors, actors, and cinematographers, making information more accessible to viewers. The humorous advertising for the festival utilized a creative approach: film stills featuring characters talking are superimposed with text asking about the festival program. This approach adds an element of humor and attracts the audience's attention, creating a positive image of the event.

The project's color palette includes pink, white, and light brown tones, creating a harmonious and modern design. This color combination attracts attention and distinguishes the festival from other cultural events. The use of these shades helps create a unique atmosphere that attracts spectators and fosters a positive image of the event.

Bar Stéréo: Contemporary Music and Unique Design

A cultural space cannot be imagined without music. In the very center of Reims, three friends founded the bar Stéréo, which offers exclusively contemporary music. This project has become a major attraction for connoisseurs of high-quality sound and unique design. Bar Stéréo attracts not only music lovers but also those seeking an atmosphere for communication and inspiration. It regularly hosts musical events that allow you to discover new facets of contemporary musical art.

The Plastac studio team developed not only a modern logo for Stéréo but also stylish signage, menus, and social media graphics. This ensures the bar's visual appeal and high recognition among visitors. The created design elements harmoniously combine, emphasizing the uniqueness of the establishment and attracting the attention of the target audience.

The Stéréo logo is a unique design in which the letters radiate from a central point, creating the visual effect of a record. This original concept emphasizes the brand's dynamism and creativity. A simplified version of the logo is presented as a dot from which the name moves in different directions: upward on the sign, to the right on the menu cover, and to the left on the business card. This approach not only attracts attention but also ensures strong brand recall, which is essential for successful market positioning.

The menu concept is inspired by music. It is presented in the format of a booklet with tracks, where each dish corresponds to a song, and the price reflects the length of the track. This approach creates a unique experience for guests, emphasizing the connection between gastronomy and music. This menu not only attracts attention but also allows each visitor to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of creativity and taste, making lunch or dinner an unforgettable event.

Hello, Creators!

In 2022, South Korea hosted a significant event in the world of design — the Seoul Design exhibition. As part of this event, Studio Maum presented a unique space called "Hello Creators!", designed for interaction between entrepreneurs and designers. The project included functional elements such as a reception desk, cloakroom, and information stands. This space became an important platform for the exchange of ideas and inspiration, attracting the attention of design professionals and enthusiasts.

The Maum design is inspired by the Korean philosophy of minimalism, emphasizing a respect for simplicity and elegance. The palette features soft pastel shades, with black used only for text elements. The main accents are soft pink and bright orange tones, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere. This approach to design is not only visually appealing but also reflects the brand's philosophy of quality and style.

The word "Creators" is at the center of the design, written in an italic font on a pink rectangular background. This element represents not just text, but also a minimalist character. Two letters "L" form the legs of the word, creating an original person who embodies creativity and innovation. This approach to design emphasizes the importance of creativity in the modern world and attracts attention to the brand.
