Architecture Week on Behance

The design world recently celebrated a significant event: two weeks of architecture on the Behance platform. As part of this event, we are pleased to present the concept of a fictional architectural firm from Berlin. We also developed a promotional video for a unique laboratory that successfully combines music and architecture. The video highlights the brutalist features of Italy and presents miniature transport models of the city, which creates an interesting visual experience and reflects the modern perception of the urban environment.

Cube Studio: Inspiration and Ideas

The Modern Brief design community organizes regular competitions, giving creators the opportunity to present their ideas and concepts. In July, participants were asked to develop a visual style for the fictional architectural firm Cube, located in Berlin. A strong emphasis on sophistication, minimalism, and detail allowed participants to showcase their creativity and professionalism. These competitions not only foster design skills but also help participants network in the professional community.

Poppy Brand Studio, the winner of the competition, presented a logo that effectively combines a bold grotesque typeface with playful italics in the U and D of the words "Cube" and "Studio." This design solution not only adds a playful element to the minimalist style but also gives the logo a dynamic and modern look. This approach to design highlights the brand's creativity and its desire to stand out from the competition.

The logo's color palette consists of black and white, complemented by craft textures and a soft blue hue. The thin lines of the geometric elements emphasize the minimalist design and evoke associations with architectural drawings. This harmony of colors and shapes creates a unique visual style that emphasizes the brand's modernity and elegance.

Mass Research Studio: Intertwining Music and Architecture

Mass is a unique Indian research studio specializing in exploring the interaction of music and architecture. The main goal of the Mass team is to create public spaces that are comfortable for performers and inviting for listeners. This fosters the development of cultural centers in cities where music and architecture harmoniously coexist, creating a unique atmosphere for all participants. Mass's research is focused on improving sound and visual quality, making their projects an important contribution to the development of urban culture.

The Mass team, dedicated to innovative projects, engaged the professional animators at Lemons to create a unique 2D animation. The client tasked them with developing an animation that would combine modern, minimalist elements with dynamic visuals inspired by the nightlife of Japanese cities. This approach will attract attention to the project and create a memorable visual style that will highlight its innovation and originality.

The animators at Lemons developed a captivating visual world, featuring a white and blue city created using fine lines. This city comes to life thanks to falling colored balls, which, upon colliding with objects and buildings, fill them with vibrant hues. The city's minimalist style creates a unique atmosphere, reminiscent of the glowing neon signs of Tokyo. This approach highlights the creativity and originality of the animators' work, captivating viewers and creating a memorable visual experience.

These architectural structures not only reflect a unique style but also serve as symbols of a new era when Italy sought innovation and rethinking urban space. The Future of Mobility According to McKinsey

A recent analytical report from the business magazine McKinsey examines key aspects of mobility in modern cities. This pressing issue affects many countries and requires innovative solutions and significant investment to effectively manage traffic congestion. With urban populations constantly growing and the number of cars increasing, efficient mobility is becoming critical to ensuring comfortable living conditions for city residents. Investing in modern transportation technologies, developing public transport, and implementing smart solutions is a necessary step toward creating sustainable and functional urban spaces.

In their study, McKinsey's editorial team identified global trends and forecasted how transportation infrastructure will transform by 2035. Talented designers Peter Tarka and Mateusz Krol developed 3D models to visualize future concepts, allowing for a better understanding of possible transportation scenarios in the coming years.

The designers set themselves the task of developing an environmentally friendly, intelligent, and seamless transportation system. The result was a concept of a city reminiscent of a children's track, where cars and buses reach their destinations efficiently and quickly. This approach ensures cyclical movement, minimizing travel time and reducing pollution. This system not only improves traffic flows but also creates a more comfortable and safe urban environment for residents.

Tarka and Krol created three unique versions of the transportation model, specifically adapted for megacities, suburban landscapes, and interurban landscapes. Each version highlights the diversity of transport solutions, allowing it to effectively address a variety of travel conditions and user needs. These models take into account the specific features of the urban environment, suburban space, and interregional routes, which makes them ideal for modern transport tasks.
