In a dynamic gastronomy market, it's important to stay up to date with new trends and projects. We've covered food before, and now it's time to update our selection. In this review, we'll look at interesting products such as salted eggs, desserts with natural colors, and wet pet food. These new products not only diversify the diet but also meet modern quality and health requirements.

Sec Bowl: A Revolution in Indonesian Cuisine

Sec Bowl is a modern brand offering ready-to-eat Indonesian food in convenient plastic packaging. Since its founding in 2016, it has gained popularity thanks to its unique dishes, in particular the famous Salted Egg Chicken. The brand is currently preparing for an important rebranding, which will be a key stage in its further development and expansion in the Indonesian cuisine market.

Thinking Room, the studio responsible for the rebranding, set the goal of increasing the brand's visibility among competitors. The main focus is not only on the quality and affordability of the products, but also on creating an image that will emphasize Sec Bowl's status as a product of true "eggsperts"—experts in preparing egg dishes. The rebranding aims to highlight the unique features of the product and create a memorable image that will attract the attention of the target audience and strengthen the brand's position in the market.

In creating the new visual style, the Thinking Room team developed a unique font, Saltype Egg Sans. This font is a thick grotesque, characterized by simple and memorable shapes, some of which are associated with scrambled eggs. The font's color palette includes shades of egg yolk, shell, and charcoal, giving the design a vibrant and expressive feel. Saltype Egg Sans is perfect for creating engaging content that will grab attention and highlight your brand's personality.

Color Mill: A Revolution in Packaging Design

Colour Mill is an Australian brand that has been offering high-quality edible pigments for over 30 years. Despite its long history, its visual identity needed an update. Recognizing the importance of modern branding, Universal Favorite Studio took on the task of transforming the company's image by developing a new approach to visual identity. This update will help Colour Mill better stand out in the marketplace and attract consumer attention.

Considering that Colour Mill's primary audience comes through social media, the importance of stylish and attractive packaging is difficult to overstate. The designers used a modern grotesque font that can be adapted by adding semicircular elements along the edges of the letters. This creates a visual association with the cream on a cake, emphasizing the brand's culinary focus and attracting consumer attention. Stylish packaging not only makes the product stand out on shelves but also contributes to a positive image of the company in the eyes of customers.

The packaging design uses a variety of shades from Colour Mill's extensive catalog, making color a key element. The remaining elements are minimalist, emphasizing the brightness and saturation of the color palette. A decorative pattern reminiscent of a cake adds uniqueness and attracts attention, creating a harmonious combination with the main packaging design. This approach ensures not only aesthetic appeal but also product memorability on the shelf.

Previously, Colour Mill used customer-submitted photos to promote its products. This time, Universal Favorite engaged professional photographer Shelley Horan, who masterfully captured the vibrant chaos. Her work demonstrated that Color Mill pigments are ideal not only for cakes but also for a variety of desserts. This highlights the versatility and creative potential of the products, opening up new opportunities for confectioners and baking enthusiasts.

Maowoo Brand: Quality and Design in One Bottle

Maowoo is a leading Chinese brand that focuses on the production of premium cat food. The brand offers high-quality products that provide balanced nutrition and health of pets. Maowoo's visual identity was developed by DXD Studio, which created a unique and appealing branding that harmoniously combines functionality and aesthetic appeal. Maowoo products meet the modern demands of cat owners who strive to provide the best for their pets.

The Maowoo logo is a stylized image of a cat's face, inspired by the Chinese character 毛兀. This unique design not only makes the packaging easier to read but also evokes positive emotions in customers. Pet owners feel joy watching their pets enjoy food from stylish cans. Thus, the Maowoo logo effectively connects the brand with positive associations and enhances trust in product quality.

Packaging has a significant impact on brand perception in the Chinese market. Instead of standard rectangular boxes for canned cat food, Maowoo packaging resembles bakery boxes, creating associations with homemade baked goods and high quality. This original approach allows the product to stand out from the competition and attracts consumer attention.

Harry Wright, a Sheffield-based chef designer and creator of the Pasta typeface, was given the important task of developing branding for Straker's. His project includes creating a unique handwritten logo with dynamic letters that reflects his individual style and approach to design. Harry's work aims to highlight the brand's uniqueness and make it more memorable for the target audience.

The designer stands out for his unique approach to logo animation and illustrations. He develops short animated GIFs in which logos and images seamlessly morph into one another. This method not only attracts attention but also promotes brand recall. Logo animation helps create a dynamic company image, reinforcing its visual identity and making content more engaging for the audience. This modern solution allows brands to stand out from the competition and effectively communicate their values to potential customers. Wright chose a variety of thin, serif and sans-serif fonts for the text and headlines, reminiscent of typewriter style. This choice of fonts not only emphasizes the establishment's individuality but also creates a unique atmosphere that attracts visitors. Using such fonts creates a sense of nostalgia and originality, which contributes to a positive perception of the brand.
