In our new review, we present unique projects that transcend the boundaries of traditional design. You will learn about a modular ornamental font, a brand concept in the form of a soundscape, an original interpretation of YouTube in book form, and innovative furniture for compact spaces. These ideas demonstrate new approaches to design and functionality, making them relevant to modern needs.
Tinkuy Patterns Modular Font: Bridging Culture and Modernity
Designed by Ecuadorian designer Vanessa Zúñiga Tinizaray, the Tinkuy Patterns typeface is a significant contribution to the world of typography, uniting technical innovation and the cultural heritage of Latin America. This modular typeface is an original combination of traditional elements and modern design solutions, making it a unique tool for creating visually appealing texts. Tinkuy Patterns not only highlights the rich history of the region but also opens up new possibilities for creative expression in graphic design.
Tinkuy Patterns fonts stand out from standard fonts thanks to their unique structure, consisting of minimalist elements arranged in a 3x3 square grid. Each module features a pattern inspired by archaeological finds from indigenous Andean cultures. The name "tinkuy" translates as "rapprochement" in Quechua, emphasizing themes of unity and cultural exchange. These fonts are ideal for projects seeking to reflect a rich cultural heritage and a creative approach to design.
Our collection features six unique sets consisting of over 2,650 modules. These modules can be combined to create traditional patterns, offering designers unlimited creative possibilities and the ability to realize their creative ideas. Each set is carefully crafted to inspire new projects and ensure high-quality execution.

Experimental Music Banjo: An Innovative Approach to Sound Design
Experimental music studio Banjo, uniting talented composers and sound engineers, creates unique works that immerse listeners in unusual sound worlds. Each studio project incorporates not only samples but also field recordings, allowing them to transform sound into true art. Banjo strives to expand the boundaries of musical perception, creating audio landscapes in which every element plays a significant role.
The concept, developed by the Spanish design bureau Arce, explores a soundscape where each territory has a unique sound. The designers combined music playlists with specific cities and regions, adding photographs of the area, which gives the project new meaning. This phenomenon can be called a kind of "urban baroque" in the world of sounds. This approach not only enriches the perception of each place but also creates a deep connection between the music and the cultural context of the regions.
Inspired by the legendary composer John Cage and his famous piece "4'33", the designers decided to express the concept of emptiness in the studio logo. The letter "O" is designed as two brackets, creating the effect of empty space and pause. This element is adaptable to various media, enhancing the perception of emptiness and emphasizing the importance of silence and pause in design.
Banjo's innovations are reflected in its web design, which offers a unique user experience. When hovering over website elements, users can hear sound fragments or melodies, creating a dynamic atmosphere. By quickly navigating through the pages, visitors are immersed in the musical piece, becoming co-authors of this process. This approach illustrates the postmodern concept, where interaction with content becomes an important part of the overall experience. The development of such elements contributes to an improved user experience and distinguishes the site from competitors, drawing attention to originality and creativity.

Evolution of brand standards YouTube
The YouTube team has launched an innovative project to update its standards, centered on a new book developed by Hybrid Design. This project is not just a tool, but a meaningful brand message to users that embodies the spirit and values of YouTube in an accessible and understandable form. The new book highlights the uniqueness of the platform and its desire to create a community based on understanding and creativity.
The Hybrid Design team defines itself as explorers and improvisers constantly seeking new interactions across various fields. In their book, they use a collage method that combines photographs, illustrations, icons, and backgrounds to effectively visualize the diversity of content on the YouTube platform. This approach allows for a vibrant and memorable presentation of information, reflecting the creativity and diversity of opportunities YouTube offers for creativity and self-expression.
This project is a unique combination of a digital service and a physical book, offering readers an engaging journey. The text is often interrupted by unexpected illustrations, giving the publication the character of a zine or an author's book. The main goal is to create an atmosphere and bold design experiments that emphasize the originality of the content. This approach not only enriches the perception of information but also makes reading more interactive and memorable.

A New Look at Artek: Furniture for the Home Office
In this section, we will consider the innovative approach to branding of the Finnish design company Artek, recognized for its unique style and high-quality furniture. In view of the growing interest in home office furnishings, Artek has announced a new collection of compact furniture, specially designed for small spaces. This line combines functionality and elegant design, allowing for efficient use of limited space without sacrificing style. Artek's unique solutions help create a comfortable and productive work environment, making their furniture ideal for modern consumers.
Kokoro & Moi Studio, with its creative approach, created an advertising campaign and visual style that highlights how this furniture can seamlessly fit into even the most confined spaces. The designers abandoned digital aesthetics in favor of traditional pencil drawing, lending the project a unique and warm feel. This approach not only distinguishes the furniture from the competition but also creates a cozy atmosphere, which is especially important for small spaces.
To create a cozy and intimate atmosphere, a series of warm illustrations were developed. The website's visual elements are not limited to beautiful images. In collaboration with WAF GMBH, Kokoro & Moi implemented an interactive tool on the platform that allows users to design their own home offices. This is not just a furniture catalog, but an opportunity to create a unique space by adding elements such as pets and cozy accessories. This approach helps users visualize their ideas and create an ideal workspace that reflects their personality.
