Real Estate and Hotels

When a user visits a website dedicated to real estate, be it searching for an apartment to rent or booking a house in the Moscow region for a vacation, they are already considering many factors: Location, price, view, safety, and the speed of finding a suitable option are all factors that influence the design. Therefore, it's crucial to carefully consider each scenario: who visited the site, for what purpose, on what device, and in what emotional state. In such interfaces, not only the visual aspect is important, but also a logical structure, quick and convenient filters, an interactive map, and informative property cards that communicate with the user in their own language. An effective real estate website design should ensure a convenient and fast search process, meeting the needs and expectations of users.

Ostrovok offers the unique ability to compare hotels without registration, a rare and useful advantage. However, some unexpected moments may arise while using the platform.

Why isn't the price displayed in the comparison? This is an important aspect when choosing a product. On the one hand, the absence of a price makes the interface cleaner and easier to perceive. However, on the other hand, the card still leaves enough space to include price information. For most users, price is a key criterion, and its absence complicates the selection process, forcing additional steps to obtain the desired information.

The "Copy" button next to the hotel raises questions: it's unclear what exactly is being copied and for what purpose. If the function is intended to copy the collection for sending to a friend, then this is a reasonable idea. However, the wording can be misleading. A clearer option would be to use the familiar phrase "Share collection," which would immediately make it clear to the user what will happen when the button is clicked. This will improve the user experience and make the interface more intuitive.

Reading is an important part of our lives. It helps develop thinking, expand horizons and gain new knowledge. Regularly reading books, articles and other materials helps improve concentration and memory. In addition, reading enriches vocabulary and improves communication skills. It is important to choose a variety of genres and topics to get new impressions and useful information every time. Remember that reading is not only entertaining but also a powerful tool for personal growth and development. Maintain a daily reading habit, and you will notice positive changes in your life.

Experts discussed the redesigns of such well-known brands as Yandex Market, Lamborghini, Ostrovok, and Podruzhka. They analyzed changes in the visual perception and functionality of these platforms, as well as their impact on the user experience. Yandex Market's redesign emphasizes ease of navigation and an improved user interface. Lamborghini updated its style while maintaining the brand's unique and sporty character, emphasizing its premium status. Ostrovok presented a modern and intuitive design aimed at simplifying the booking process. Meanwhile, Podruzhka emphasized the emotional component, strengthening customer connections through an updated visual style. All these changes are aimed at improving customer interactions and increasing competitiveness in the market.

In 2025, an unexpected situation has emerged: social media login is available exclusively through Odnoklassniki. This creates the impression that this feature is a temporary solution or a flaw. Even if the Odnoklassniki-only login option is not permanent, it is important to inform users of this limitation. Transparency in authorization issues will increase trust in the service and improve the user experience.

Filtering by map is a useful tool, but it lacks an important function: visual distinction between hotels that have already been viewed. In the current view, all objects look the same, leading to confusion and the need to re-click on previously viewed options. The optimal solution would be to highlight locations the user has already viewed using color coding, icons, or a change in link. This would significantly simplify the selection process and improve usability.

This approach is successfully used on platforms such as Avito and Cian. It effectively saves users' time and minimizes confusion when choosing goods and services.

On the Cian website, the places I have already looked at are marked in gray, and you can even see the selected hotels. Screenshot: Cian / Alexandra Yakovleva

Tour operator Coral Coral Travel offers a unique feature for adding hotels to your favorites and comparing them. This convenient option allows users to easily save their favorite options and effectively compare them. Unlike many competitors, Coral Travel provides a more informed approach to hotel selection, significantly improving the quality of trip planning. This feature allows users to make more informed booking decisions, making the hotel selection process more convenient and efficient.

The icons displayed show distances in kilometers, but it is unclear whether the first icon indicates the distance from the hotel to the city or from the airport to the city.

It is recommended to implement hover tooltips, similar to the implementation on the Anex Tour website. This will improve the user experience, allowing visitors to quickly navigate the functionality and find the information they need. Tooltips provide access to hints and explanations, which greatly simplifies interaction with the interface.

Banks

Bank visitors are looking for solutions to their financial needs: transferring money, opening an account, getting a loan, or finding out where their funds have disappeared to. At such moments, users need to quickly and easily find the information they need. Therefore, a bank's interface should be intuitive, reducing anxiety and eliminating overload. Clear typography, a clear hierarchy, understandable calls to action, and accessible copy aimed at regular users, not just financial professionals, are essential. Effective interface design helps significantly improve customer interactions with the bank, increasing their confidence and satisfaction.

The T-Bank website displays advertising instead of convenient access to financial services. This is not just an unnecessary element, but a factor that distracts users from their primary tasks. When a client visits the platform with the intention of transferring money, paying for services, or checking their balance, they are not interested in banners about loans, investments, or promotions. It's especially annoying when ads disguise themselves as interface elements, disrupting the user's normal flow. It's important to understand that banks should focus on functionality and customer trust, not aggressive marketing. An optimized user experience is the key to the success of a financial institution.

One ad block is quite sufficient. It is best to first present the key information: transfers, payments, and statements. And below, carefully integrate the bank's offers so they don't distract from the main content.

Compared to other financial institutions, Sber has a more user-friendly interface. Key functions are prominently displayed, and advertising doesn't distract from using the service. This approach helps increase user trust and respect for their time.

Super apps are becoming an integral part of the modern digital world. Designers are discussing their role in transforming user experience and usability. These apps combine multiple functions, allowing users to perform various tasks in a single interface, which greatly simplifies interaction with digital services.

The rise of super apps is driven by user demand for integration and accessibility. They strive to minimize the number of apps on their devices, making super apps an ideal solution. Designers note that the key to a successful super app is an intuitive interface and a high level of personalization.

Super apps not only make life easier for users but also open up new business opportunities. Companies can attract and retain customers by offering them comprehensive solutions in one place. This creates a competitive advantage and facilitates user base growth.

Thus, super apps represent an important digital trend that continues to evolve, responding to user demands and adapting to changing market conditions. Designers play a key role in creating these apps, ensuring a harmonious blend of functionality and aesthetics.

Clothing Stores

Website design functions as a showcase, where it is important not only to showcase the products but also to create a certain atmosphere. The interface should remain visually clean, emphasizing photography, providing fast scrolling and convenient virtual try-on. Ease of navigation from the moment of admiration to purchase is key. Users do not read text, but simply scan content, so ease of perception, rhythm, and the feeling that the site facilitates, rather than distracts, selection of products are critical.

Zara's website attracts attention with its stylish design and high speed, which creates an inspiring experience. However, there are some nuances in navigation that can cause difficulties. For example, users have difficulty finding the "Favorites" section. To do this, they need to click the shopping cart icon and go to a separate tab, which is not obvious to most users. Most online stores offer access to favorites directly from the main menu or via a separate icon, making the process more intuitive. Improving this navigation could significantly improve the user experience and simplify interaction with the site. Instead of hiding favorites in the cart, it's recommended to use familiar "Cart" and "Favorites" icons at the top of the site. Even with limited space, familiar icons effectively solve navigation problems, eliminating unnecessary text and confusion. This approach improves the user experience and simplifies access to important functions, which positively impacts conversion. Using individual icons makes the website more intuitive to use and helps users quickly find the sections they need.

Another unexpected detail: the username was cut off. This is not critical, but it creates certain inconveniences and spoils the overall impression of a well-designed interface. Improving the display of the username can significantly improve the level of convenience and user satisfaction.

The Mango store has implemented a convenient solution - the container automatically adapts to the volume of text. Such nuances may seem insignificant, but they create an atmosphere of attentive attitude towards the user.

The absence of a shopping cart on the website significantly limits the capabilities of customers and creates many inconveniences. This negatively impacts business, as users are unable to complete the purchase process or even add items to their cart. As a result, the website loses its functionality and appeal to customers. It is important to implement an effective shopping cart system to improve convenience and customer satisfaction, which will ultimately lead to increased sales and a better company image.

There is no saved items counter in the "Favorites" section, which makes It's impossible to know exactly how many items are in your shopping cart. This phenomenon is related to the minimalist trend that is actively being implemented in modern e-commerce websites. Most of them strive to create a clean and uncluttered interface, especially at the top of the page. Removing counters is done to achieve visual simplicity and improve the user experience.

The "Favorites" feature allows users to quickly access saved items without the need for constant notifications. This is convenient, as it eliminates numeric indicators and maintains order. However, this approach also has its drawbacks. One disadvantage is the loss of a sense of control over the number of items in "Favorites." Users want to see how many items they have added and what the total cost is. The absence of a visible counter can lead to a decrease in the likelihood of a purchase, as it serves as a reminder that the item has been saved and makes it easier to make a purchase decision. It is important to consider these aspects when designing the interface to improve usability and encourage purchases.

Sela makes a positive first impression with its attractive design, intuitive navigation, and user-friendly catalog. However, when it comes to checkout, serious issues arise. The "Buy" button is inactive, no matter how you try to click it—with a mouse, with your finger, or on different devices and browsers. This creates significant difficulties for users wishing to make a purchase and can negatively impact the brand's reputation.

Screenshot: Sela / Alexandra Yakovleva

The reason may not be obvious: errors are not displayed, there are no tooltips, and required fields seem to be filled in. This creates the impression that the site simply refuses to complete the sale, which seems especially odd given the overall quality of the interface. To improve the user experience and increase conversion, it's necessary to analyze the functionality and address any potential issues.

Even though this was a temporary glitch that the company has already resolved, the interface should still inform the user about the cause of the problem. It's important for users to understand why they can't perform certain actions. For example, clear error messages or tooltips should be provided to help them understand the situation and find a solution. Effective communication through the interface improves the user experience and increases trust in the service.

  • Highlight fields that need to be filled in if something is missing.
  • Show a clear message if delivery to the region is not possible.
  • Explain why the button is inactive, rather than leaving the user guessing.

Simple web design elements significantly reduce user frustration and help avoid the impression that the site is not working correctly.

Clinics

Users come to the site not only for services, but also with concerns, questions, and fears. Therefore, the task of the interface is not only to sell, but also to reassure, explain, and guide visitors. It is crucial that information about doctors, prices, services, and appointments is as accessible as possible. This means avoiding confusing menus, complex forms, and hidden details. A clean design, simple and clear language, photos of real specialists, and a logical structure should all minimize the number of clicks required to reach the target action. The interface should function like a good administrator: attentive, clear, and personable. This will build trust and increase user satisfaction, which in turn will positively impact the clinic's reputation.

The slider on the FDoctor clinic page is ineffective. Scrolling is unintuitive and requires unnecessary actions, which can lead to users not finding the information they need and leaving the site. To improve navigation, make arrows and slide indicators more visible and set up one-click scrolling. This will improve usability and allow users to find the information they need faster.

The page has three target actions, which can distract users and reduce conversion. With so many options, the user's attention is scattered, making it difficult to make a choice. It is recommended to reduce the number of buttons or prioritize them. Highlight one primary action by making it the most noticeable, and make the other buttons less prominent to draw attention to the main one. This will help improve user experience and increase conversion.

The idea has been successfully implemented on the SM-Dentistry website.

The importance of the buttons is emphasized by color gradation - the more important, in this case the "More details" button, is highlighted in bright color. Screenshot: "SM-Dentistry" / Alexandra Yakovleva
