The exhibition, titled "The City Speaks," is a collaboration between the Cryptography Museum and "Khlebozavod." Since the beginning of 2024, the project's participants, along with urbanists, historians, artists, designers, and architects, have been studying the North-Eastern Administrative District.

In 2025, eight laboratories analyzed the experience and are now ready to offer viewers the opportunity to see the city from various perspectives: architectural, historical, digital, and sound, as well as through the prism of street art and graffiti, the life of local communities, and ecosystems. Emphasis is also placed on natural elements—parks, vegetation, and wildlife. Through photography, dance, sound design, and performance, the exhibition invites visitors not only to delve deeper into the North-Eastern Administrative District but also to rethink their own perception of the city as a whole.

Venue: Moscow, Botanicheskaya Street, Building 25, Building 4, Cryptography Museum.

From November 6 to December 6.

Garage Academy invites you to learn about the process of creating famous "blueprints"—replicas of architectural drawings created using cyanotype. This monochrome printing method, developed in the 19th century, remains popular among artists due to its relative simplicity, variety of possibilities, and, of course, its magnificent blue hue.

The master class will be held in the communal space of the Narkomfin Building. If you look into the foyer of the residential block, you can see two unique blueprints dating back to the construction era of this building - these are copies of the drawings depicting a section of the staircase and cells P.

Location: Russia, Moscow, Novinsky Boulevard, Building 25, Building 1, Communal Block of the People's Commissariat of Finance.

From November 6 to 27

  • Bauhaus is a landmark movement in architecture and design that emerged in Germany in the early 20th century. In Russia, the influence of this school manifested itself in various forms, beginning in the 1920s. Architects and designers, inspired by Bauhaus principles, sought to introduce new ideas into Soviet reality.

In particular, one can note the works of such masters as Vladimir Tatlin, who combined constructivism with elements borrowed from the Bauhaus in his projects. An important example is the Research Institute building in Moscow, where the Bauhaus style is clearly visible in the simplicity of form and functionality.

Furthermore, projects reflecting the ideas of this school also appeared in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg). Architects sought ways to integrate modern design with traditional Russian elements, resulting in unique architectural solutions.

Over time, the influence of the Bauhaus in Russia has diminished, but its principles continue to influence modern perceptions of architecture and design. In recent years, interest in this movement has been revived, allowing new generations to explore its legacy and adapt Bauhaus ideas to contemporary realities.
