Companies are actively exploring the opportunities offered by third-party services, which often prove more profitable than their core business. New areas often logically follow from existing business models, allowing them to leverage existing resources and experience for their successful implementation. The Yandex ecosystem began its journey with a simple search service. Over time, it added features such as advertising, email, and news. At the very beginning, a marketplace platform was created that brought together products from various online stores. Recognizing that with the development of stores comes the need for financial instruments, Yandex also launched payment systems. Maps were then introduced, laying the foundation for the development of transportation services. The emergence of maps paved the way for taxis and navigation systems. The development of taxis, in turn, spurred the development of delivery services, further expanding the ecosystem and making it more user-friendly. During the pandemic, significant changes occurred in the delivery industry, and advances in maps and logistics became the basis for the creation of a new service, Lavka. At the same time, the company was actively developing artificial intelligence technologies, enabling the integration of AI into various services and the launch of a separate service featuring the voice assistant Alice. These steps not only improved the quality of service but also made delivery more efficient and accessible to users.

    The more points of interaction a business has with its customers, the deeper it understands their needs. This allows it to offer customers comprehensive solutions with a variety of functions in a single application, which helps increase revenue. It's easier to sell additional services to an existing customer than to attract new users. User trust and the convenience of an ecosystem and super app play a key role in their appeal. Let's take Yandex as an example. As a customer, I pay for a single "Plus" plan, which gives me access to all ecosystem services. I can listen to music and watch movies on Kinopoisk, earning bonus points for this. These points can then be used for taxis, delivery, and online shopping. Thus, service integration creates a comfortable experience for users and strengthens their brand loyalty. I trust a company, especially if I've been using its services for a long time. The accumulated bonuses also encourage me to spend them within the ecosystem. This creates additional interest in the services and products offered by the company, which strengthens my commitment to it.

    Working with banks has its own peculiarities. For example, I have a premium subscription with T-Bank, and when I need car or travel insurance, I go there. Why? I prefer not to get bogged down in details; I trust my bank and know that if I have any questions, I can get help via chat. The insurance process is simple and accessible. Even if T-Bank's insurance is slightly more expensive than competitors, I choose it because of the convenience and reliability of the service. An alternative option is buying travel packages. Sometimes I don't want to deal with a tour operator. If a bank offers this service, I prefer to use it because I'm confident that support will be available if I have any problems. An added bonus is cashback, which is always nice. From a girl math perspective, this kind of money feels like earned money.

At the same time, users have enough to worry about: work, meeting friends, and no desire to navigate multiple services. I understand this and don't judge.

    Many people don't want to waste time searching and comparing different services; they just want to have dinner and enjoy watching a TV show. Super-ups offer convenient solutions, posing as a way to save time and effort.

    I open the T-Bank app to check my balance and see a yellow bar with the message: "Zhenya, renew your MTPL insurance, we've calculated everything, now you just need to pay." I think: "The price isn't the best, but you can't drive without insurance. With another app, you'd have to fill out a bunch of forms—STS, PTS, MMS, SMS, OMS policy... But here, everything is already prepared." Ultimately, I decide to pay for the insurance so I won't forget about it in the future. My brain chose the simple and convenient "here and now" path, and businesses benefited from this choice. Everything happens in one app, which significantly simplifies the process for the user.

    Some products don't care whether you spend money or not. It's important to remember that in some cases, you become the product itself. Here, your time is the bargaining chip, and advertisers pay for you. The longer you use the service, the more it earns. This explains the use of recommendations, gamification, and other mechanics aimed at keeping users in the app for as long as possible. Increasing the time spent with the product contributes to the company's revenue growth and improves the user experience.

Yandex Go makes it easy to organize your daily routine, making the app an indispensable assistant in the modern fast-paced world. Superapps aren't evil. I didn't intend to debunk them. While they can indeed be addictive, they also effectively solve many problems and save users significant time. It's important to maintain choice, even when choosing between different superapps. Having alternatives allows users to find optimal solutions that suit their needs and preferences. The ability to choose between different superapps promotes a deeper understanding of the functionality and increases user satisfaction.
