Thus, the study results highlight the relevance of the NEET youth problem and the need for a comprehensive approach to addressing it. NEET stands for "Not in Employment, Education, or Training." This term is used in the social and economic sciences to describe young people who are not enrolled in educational programs and are not employed in any capacity, including informal work. In Russia, according to various estimates, the NEET rate among young people aged 15-24 in 2021-2022 ranged from 8.5% to 12%. At the seminar, Anna Zudina discussed how non-cognitive skills influence placement in this category. Non-cognitive skills encompass personality and behavioral traits, including aspects of the Big Five personality traits: openness to experience, extroversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism.
