The development pipeline, using the example of character creation, includes several key stages. By eliminating the pre-production stage with 2D sketches, we can focus on further processes.
First, the character is modeled in 3D, where its geometry and textures are created. This is followed by the rigging stage, where bones and controllers for animation are set. Then comes animation - the process in which the character acquires lifelike movements and emotions. An important step is also the creation of materials and shaders that give the character a realistic appearance in the game world.
Once all these stages are completed, the character is integrated into the game engine for testing and final refinement. This consistent approach ensures the high quality and consistency of the final product.
