The sweet life is over

Sweet foods like cakes, chocolates, and sugar are now banned. This decision was one of the first steps taken by the new coach of the Russian national football team, Valery Karpin. Such measures are aimed at improving the physical fitness of players and enhancing their athletic performance.

When buying an expensive car, you choose to fill up with 98 octane gasoline instead of 92. This is similar to proper nutrition: just as 98-octane gasoline ensures better performance in a car, high-quality food promotes optimal body function. The coach emphasized that choosing a healthy diet allows for better results and maintaining high energy.

The coach banned the players from drinking beer after matches. Although the beer is sometimes considered a way to recover from physical exertion, this team decided to abandon this tradition. In Germany, for example, there is a practice of drinking beer in the locker room immediately after the game, but in this case, priority is given to healthier methods of recovery.

In Russia, Dutch coach Guus Hiddink tried to introduce a new tradition to football. It is unclear whether beer played any role in this, but under his leadership, the national team achieved the greatest success in its modern history, winning bronze medals at the European Championship. Guus Hiddink earned the nickname Guus Almighty due to his achievements and influence on the team.

Sprint to the free cash register

At the beginning of the 20th century, attention to the nutrition of athletes was less strict, and many of them allowed themselves to consume alcoholic beverages and high-calorie foods. This time was characterized by a liberal approach to diet, which often affected the physical fitness and results of athletes. Over time, awareness of the importance of proper nutrition in sports began to shift, with the emphasis shifting to a balanced diet that contributes to improved athletic performance. Modern athletes, recognizing the impact of diet on physical performance, carefully monitor their diets, choosing only healthy and nutritious foods.

Babe Ruth, one of the greatest players in baseball history, is known not only for his athletic achievements, but also for his scandalous reputation. He often drank beer not only after matches, but also before them, and sometimes even during them. Ruth also had a passion for hot dogs. On one occasion, after a bet, he ate so many hot dogs that he had to be hospitalized. This episode highlights not only his eccentricity but also his pursuit of pleasure, which has become an integral part of his legend. Fast food can sometimes be beneficial even for modern athletes. At the Beijing Olympics, Usain Bolt, the fastest man on the planet, had difficulty adapting to the local cuisine. Fortunately, a free McDonald's, sponsored by the Olympic Village, was available, allowing him to maintain his usual diet. The Jamaican sprinter, renowned for his track records, has set a culinary record this time around, demonstrating how fast food can be a temporary solution for athletes in competitive settings.

During the Olympics, the runner consumed about a thousand nuggets, which is about 100 pieces a day. He also occasionally combined them with French fries and apple pies.

Tables were set with fast food at the official reception of athletes at the White House. Former US President Donald Trump met the winners of the National College Football Association. This event took place during the shutdown, when, as a result of Trump's conflict with Congress, some US federal agencies suspended their work for several days, and some White House staff were also forced to go on unpaid leave.

Since there was no one to cook food for the big football players, Trump decided to order 300 hamburgers, pizza, and French fries at his own expense.

Donald Trump shared his expectations about the menu, which, in his opinion, will become a favorite among great gourmets. He noted that we have real food lovers, and he is confident that this will be a source of fun.

And the whole table is not enough

Michael Phelps, an outstanding swimmer, won 28 medals during his career, of which 23 are gold. He set 37 world records and became the most decorated athlete in the history of the Olympic Games. His achievements inspire many athletes and swimming fans around the world. Phelps not only achieved fame on the Olympic stage but also left a significant mark on the history of sports, becoming a symbol of perseverance and skill.

Michael Phelps, the famous American swimmer, not only won numerous medals but also had an impressive appetite. His daily food intake reached 12,000 calories. For comparison, the average person consumes only 2,000-3,000 calories per day. One television show conducted an experiment in which Phelps's diet was laid out on a table. The results showed that the table was not large enough to accommodate all those calories. This fact underscores how intense physical activity requires significant amounts of energy and nutrients.

Eating habits are formed under the influence of two main factors.

Regular exercise allows you to burn significant calories. Michael Phelps didn't limit himself to swimming; he also performed strength training. His training regimen lasted more than six hours a day, and he covered over 80 kilometers in the pool per week. This intense approach to training not only contributes to improved physical fitness but also effective weight control.

One of the reasons for choosing this diet is an innately fast metabolism. This condition allows the body to efficiently process and absorb nutrients, which helps maintain optimal energy levels and prevents the accumulation of excess fat. A fast metabolism also affects calorie needs, making special diets more relevant. Proper nutrition combined with an active lifestyle helps such people maintain health and physical fitness.

It's easy to find a standard athlete's menu online. For example, breakfast might include a fried egg sandwich, a five-egg omelet, a bowl of oatmeal, three chocolate-coated pancakes, two slices of toast with powdered sugar, and several cups of coffee. This diet provides the energy needed for training and physical activity, but it's important to consider your individual needs and choose balanced foods. Proper nutrition plays a key role in achieving athletic performance and improving overall health. For dinner, a swimmer can easily eat a large pizza and a pound of pasta. Intense physical activity requires a significant amount of energy, and dishes like pizza and pasta are excellent for replenishing carbohydrate stores. Swimmers need nutritious foods to recover from training, and high-carbohydrate meals help maintain optimal energy levels. Proper nutrition plays a key role in achieving athletic performance, and a carbohydrate-rich dinner can be an important part of a swimmer's diet.

Soda's Main Enemy

Fast food and unlimited food consumption are often the exception for athletes. Despite strict diets and training regimens, many athletes occasionally indulge in fast food. This may be due to the increased caloric needs that arise from intense training. However, it is important to remember that excessive consumption of fast food can negatively impact athletic performance and overall health. Athletes should find a balance between satisfying their taste preferences and maintaining optimal nutrition to achieve high results.

Cristiano Ronaldo exemplifies proper nutrition and healthy diets. This outstanding footballer carefully monitors his fitness and weight, which allows him to maintain a high level of performance throughout his career. His approach to nutrition includes a balanced diet of wholesome foods that provide his body with the necessary nutrients to function optimally. Ronaldo demonstrates how healthy eating and discipline can contribute to achieving outstanding athletic performance.

Cristiano Ronaldo's biological parameters correspond to an age of 23-25 years, despite the fact that the footballer himself is already 36 years old. This confirms his outstanding physical fitness and level of training, which allow him to remain competitive at the highest level of football. Ronaldo's phenomenal endurance and speed testify to his serious attitude to training and a healthy lifestyle, which is an important aspect for achieving success in professional football.

The Portuguese athlete maintains a balanced diet, based on high-protein foods, as well as plenty of whole grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables. He divides his meals into six portions, with two-hour intervals between them. This approach to nutrition helps maintain energy and optimal physical fitness, which is especially important for professional athletes.

Cristiano Ronaldo's meals are grilled or baked. One of his favorite dishes is bacalhau, which is cod cooked with onions and potatoes. This dish is not only delicious but also nutritious, which suits his high level of physical activity and dietary requirements.

Ronaldo prefers juice among drinks, avoiding alcohol and carbonated drinks. At the last European Championship, he attracted attention when he removed the Coca-Cola bottle from the table at a press conference and emphasized water. This gesture has caused a wide resonance and underlines his commitment to a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition.

After this, there were reports that the football star's gesture led to a four billion dollar drop in Coca-Cola shares. However, a more plausible version seems to be that the decline in the stock price and the footballer's actions were a coincidence.

The biography of the ideal athlete also has dark pages related to nutrition. In 2003, when young Cristiano Ronaldo signed a contract with Manchester United, he quickly became interested in the traditional British dish "fish and chips". This passion could have negatively affected his athletic performance, since proper nutrition plays a key role in the success of athletes. Ronaldo's move to a prestigious club marked the beginning of his career, but his food choices during that period could have been a barrier to his achievements.

This season has seen a significant event: Cristiano Ronaldo's return to Manchester United. This club became the place where he established himself as one of the world's best footballers. Ronaldo is back on the Old Trafford pitch, and his return is generating great interest among fans and football industry experts alike. This event underscores the importance of the club in Ronaldo's career and his desire to lead the team to success once again.

The Portuguese strictly adheres to his diet and does not allow even the slightest deviation. His example inspires other team players, and now the apple pies and brownies once beloved by Manchester United players are left unnoticed, lying unserved in the club canteen. This shift toward healthier eating demonstrates changing trends in sports culture, where professionals are increasingly focused on optimizing their diets to achieve high performance.
